Opening Ceremonies & Main Street Planting
Wednesday, June 6th, 2013
9:30am | Corner Main and Landsdowne Ave.
Join over 800 students from local schools as we plant our marigolds along Main Street in Saint John, New Brunswick.
The Marigold Project 2013 has accepted the challenge to set the Guinness World Record for the number of children planting flowers at the same time. 44 schools in the Greater Saint John/Fundy region are registered for the challenge. This is entirely a volunteer effort, involving community partners as well as the students and teachers from the schools involved. Many of the schools use this project as cross curriculum training in math, science, art, social sciences, writing – even music – singing the Marigold Song.
